1. Plan. Enter the preparation date as dd/mm/yyyy, or use the calendar icon. The next Wednesday–Tuesday is shown. Sunday is marked automatically; Saturday is a full day.
2. Count. Enter whole lab stock in its supply unit. Enter extra loose reagent stock in bottles, including fractions such as 0.5. R1 bottles per pack converts these into pack equivalents. QC aliquots and consumable pieces keep their displayed units. Enter machine shots separately.
3. Request. Weekly Need is adjusted for the selected holidays and rounded up to multiples of 20 by default. Pack Size converts it into supply units. Rounded Packs Needed is rounded upward before deducting In Lab.
To Indent = max(0, Rounded Packs Needed − In Lab), then rounded up to the permitted supply increment. In Lab includes entered whole stock, loose bottles, pooled compatible stock and machine balance converted to supply units. There is no time-based consumption deduction or before-receipt risk flag.
Machine readings. The entered balance is used directly. If the opening reading was before morning loading, enter the packs loaded between that reading and the count. After-loading readings do not add those packs again. Keep loaded packs out of fridge stock.
Other items. QC, calibrators, solutions, diluents and consumables have their own rates or target-stock rules. Unknown consumption and yield remain incomplete. A target-stock rule uses its stated target without weekly-demand rounding. Row rules expose the rounding increment for small-unit supplies.
Amylase. Only the Diasys row receives the shared order. Erba stock is pooled only with a confirmed yield or a verified zero stock.
Saved indents. Select Save indent on Step 3 to keep a dated read-only copy of the inputs, item rules and results. Saved Indents lets you reopen, print and export old copies. Use as draft makes an editable working copy while preserving the saved original. Incomplete calculations are saved as drafts.
Storage. Work is saved in this browser only. JSON backups include the working draft and all saved indent copies; internal backup dates use ISO format for machine compatibility. Visible calendar dates and CSV dates use dd/mm/yyyy. Old JSON/browser drafts are upgraded safely: old loose reagent tests convert to bottles where the conversion is known; otherwise those old loose entries must be re-entered.
